Selecting the right paint
The paint range stocked in most stores can be divided into four categories:
- Emulsion paints - for walls and ceilings.
- Gloss paints - for wood and metal.
- Exterior paints - for outside use.
- Crown preparatory products - for use with all the above.
Emulsion paints
Crown Matt Emulsion
A water based paint for interior walls and ceilings. Its non reflective finish is ideal for disguising surface defects.
Crown Silk Emulsion
A water based paint for interior walls and ceilings, with a highly reflective finish. Ideal for highlighting features such as embossed or textured wallcoverings and maximising the natural light in areas such as hallways.
Crown Solo One Coat Mid Sheen Emulsion
One coat coverage with the added advantage of lower odour compared with conventional paints.
Crown Rollerpaint
Vinyl Matt and Vinyl Silk emulsion paint in a tray – available in Pure Brilliant White only.
Crown Period Colours Flat Matt Emulsion
A range of specially developed shades to create an authentic historical look.
Gloss paints
Crown Non Drip Gloss
Oil based paint suitable for interior/exterior use, easy to apply because of its non drip formula. No undercoat required.
Crown Solo One Coat Gloss
Oil based paint suitable for interior/exterior use. Its unique self undercoating formula ensures long lasting protection with high gloss finish and ease of application.
Crown Liquid Gloss
A traditional oil based paint suitable for interior/exterior use, providing long term protection and a high gloss finish. Use with undercoat. White only.
Crown Quick Dry Gloss
Water based paint suitable for interior/exterior use, achieves a flexible long lasting finish. Resistant to cracking, peeling, flaking and yellowing, with the added benefit of being quick drying.
Crown Solo One Coat Satin
Oil based paint, offering a more subtle alternative to traditional gloss finishes. For interior wood and metalwork.
Crown Period Colours Eggshell Finish
Satin finish for interior wood and metalwork. Gives an authentic period feel to both a modern or an old home.
Crown preparatory products
New and stripped bare wood, metal and masonry surfaces require primer application before paint finish. They penetrate and bind the substrate and allow the top coat to go further.
Crown Universal Primer
All purpose. Can be used on wood and metal, inside and out.
Crown Quick Dry Primer
Water based. Quick drying for use with gloss paints.
Crown Undercoat
For use under Liquid Gloss. Good obliteration hides previous coating and gives key to gloss coat.
